TO BENEFIT:

On this 10th Anniversary of 9/11 as we take to the streets in a small town in Norwell, Massachusetts... other Shadow Run Race participants will be running past tactical vehicles and perimeter fences on their base overseas.

Our supporters will be running and walking the same course distance together in friendly competition, for a final race time, in multiple locations. This gives the participant a chance to race an Airborne Ranger, Boston Fire Fighter, or Norwell neighbor for a great cause. The multi-town, State, and Country nature of the event will certainly be felt at the 9-11 Memorial Shadow Run. Runners in Norwell will be racing along-side local Law Enforcement, Fire, Soldiers, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, Sailors, and Airmen at the event. In fact, some of the Shadow Run Participants who have already agreed to run will be from Boston Fire & Police, The U.S. Marine Corp, U.S. Army Rangers, U.S. Army Special Forces, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy SEALs, The U.S. Coast Guard members, and The Department of Homeland Security... no matter where they are stationed in the world.

In the coalition environment of Military, Fire, and Law Enforcement, unified teamwork is critical, and the shadow run race is one way to show the true meaning of teamwork. Teamwork is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results, and without teamwork, we cannot succeed on this important day. We will be bringing this invaluable spirit to the Town of Norwell through this event and we hope you will join us.

Proceeds from the race will go toward opening a facility in the Norwell area where disabled veterans and returning soldiers will be offered free physical training and outdoor sports activities. This would also be a training center allowing our nations bravest to train to compete in National Disabled Veteran Sporting & Athletic Events. More importantly we would like to help them return to a community that will help them build their confidence as they return back to civilian life. Inside the facility we would have a care package location center where people could donate goods to be sent to our active military overseas. Civilians would be welcome to train here as well.

Outside of supporting our disabled Veteran goals, the 9-11 10th Anniversary Memorial Shadow Run Race has a main mission: To build esprit de corps and honor those who have served, are serving, or have supported our Nation. We can only ask two questions:

Where were you on that Tuesday morning ten years ago?

Where will you be on Sunday, September 11th, 2011?
